I was having a great day until I went into the Rainbow Store located in Liberty, Missouri. I had to return a dress that didn't fit.

I didn't think that it would be a problem because I had my receipt and my tags in the bag. The lady proceeded to tell me that it was past my seven days (store policy) and that I would get an in-store credit. I was clearly aggitated and I made a comment that that was fine but that I would not come back to store and that I didn't realize that it was going to be so difficult to take things back. I wasn't mad, I didn't raise my voice, but proceeded to look at the underwear for sales since I had a ten dollar in-store credit .

As I asked an associate what were the sales and then some lady came running out yelling in a loud manner so that the whole store could hear holding a piece of paper yelling at the top of her voice to look at the store policy and that she was doing me a favor! All the customers in the store were alarmed and approached me to say that I was mistreated and that they had never seen such behavior and they would be complaining too! The lady refused to give me my receipt, she took my tags and yelled at me to get out of the store. All of the customers and I left the store.

Since she kept my receipt I went back into the store to get my receipt and the lady proceeded to yell (at the top of her voice) to get out of her store. I was so appalled,she stood at the front of the store smoking a cigarette and yelling to get out of here. I asked for the district managers contact information and she proceeded to tell me "that she and the managers are good friends and she would do NOTHING with my complaint". So, I have a dress with no receipt or tags because some lady, clearly mentally disturbed, blew-up on me and refused me service.

All because I AGREED TO RECEIVE THE IN-STORE CREDIT. This lady needs to be fired on the spot, worst customer service experience of my life! I felt threatened, intimidated and to say the least very embarrassed. I hope someone in the Rainbow organization will read this and take action on this Psycho of a manager.

The worst representation for management and the organization that you can find!

I dont know where all these comments blaming the customer are coming from!!

1.

She said she had in store credit BEFORE the lady went off at her.

2.

Even if the customer was being a smart ***, that does NOT justify the manager yelling and kicking her out of the store without her receipt or tags.

I completely agree. Actually the complaint doesn't make a lot of sense, saying she had in store credit, and then still has a dress with no receipt and no tags. There are places that won't take things back if the tags aren't attached, because that is a sign that they might have been worn.
